About Just Believe It
Susan and the band went into Dockside Studios in Maurice, LA. on May 4 to begin recording Susan's first solo record. They had a rough idea which songs they might record on it, but also had a number of songs that Susan was in the process of writing. Several songs were written at the studio while recording overdubs. Usual recording processes at this point would not allow to back-track to begin recording again with new songs. Thankfully, they had a talented, fast working, and spontaneous engineer, Curry Weber, to assist in their process--whatever that called for. What they came up with was not just a record, but a musical journey travelled through fourteen songs. Each song a story in its own right, though collectively telling a larger tale of life, love, joy and sadness, hope, satisfaction, and resolution. Though the songs may be Susan's personal experiences, the journey belongs to us all. Stay tuned to Susan, Russ, Rob, and Chris' personal accounts of their experiences recording this most beautiful record.
